Privacy, Protection and Personal Data Use Policy

DEKRA was established in Croatia by the DEKRA Arbeit Group and we are a part of the DEKRA SE international corporation with its head office in Stuttgart, Germany.

DEKRA undertakes to protect and respect your privacy. We want to use this document to explain our method and scope of collecting data as well as our business intentions.

Terminology:

We want to provide you with a comprehensive and understandable explanation of the terms we use in this Policy (Privacy, Protection and Personal Data Use Policy).
In this text, we will refer to you as ‘Candidate’, ‘Associate’ or ‘you’.
When using the terms ‘we/us’, ‘Company’ or ‘DEKRA’, we mean all the aforesaid legal entities in Croatia as a part of the DEKRA Arbeit Group.
Through its companies and through sister companies, DEKRA provides various services such as: employment mediation, employee leasing, candidate recruitment and selection, testing, assessment, career development, training and education, outplacement, international job mobility, market research, marketing services, promotional services, administration, public opinion surveys and other registered activities (Our Services).
When conducting Our Services, we use different IT and communication solutions. In some cases DEKRA uses websites and social networks, fixed and mobile telephony, various custom platforms, such as DEKRA HR.net and DEKRA web, and other software solutions.
When working and interacting with you, we gather various data which can help us in identifying you, which is called ‘personal data’.

DEKRA collects and processes the following personal data:
  • First and last name, date of birth, place of birth, contact information, qualifications (education, training, credentials), documents proving your identity, right to work and all other information specified in your CV
  • In case you contact us, we may save the correspondence record
  • We can potentially collect data on your visits to our website
  • We could also collect notifications for marketing and analysis purposes, including notifications of your responses to our e-mails, texts, telephone and other marketing campaigns
  • You could send us photographs and/or videos of you attending training and similar events
The Purpose of Collecting and Processing Personal Data

DEKRA collects and processes personal data for the following purposes:

  • Providing services that are expected from us. Accomplishing the purpose of your application (job-searching/leasing/cooperation). Assisting with training, career development and professional advancement.
  • With your consent, we can use your contacts for the purposes of direct marketing, for example via emails, texts or telephone.
  • Potentially for the purposes of analyzing statistical and analytical research.
  • When fulfilling legal, legislative and regulatory obligations.
  • We can also process your personal data for the purposes of promoting security and protection of people, premises, systems and equipment, for monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures, for controlling communicational and other platforms used by the DEKRA Arbeit Group, and when examining and responding to complaints.

Do You Need to Give Us Your Personal Data

You are not obliged to give us your personal data, but we cannot achieve business cooperation without such data, so we would be unable to provide you services.

Processing Personal Data Without Human Intervention

We sometimes process your personal data without human intervention. DEKRA may use processing systems and make automated decisions (profiling) to provide the service to business clients and you.

Data Retention Limit

DEKRA retains your personal data for 2 years from the moment of application.

Transfers of Personal Data to Third Parties

We transfer your data to third parties in order to achieve the aforesaid purposes. We share your personal data with the following parties:

  • Suppliers. For example, we can include a supplier to carry out administrative and operational tasks for us, to improve our relationship with you. Supplier(s) will be bound by contractual and legal obligations for the purpose of protecting the confidentiality of your personal data, and will have access only to your personal data in order to carry out their functions.
  • Our business clients. We will share your personal data with our business clients offering jobs/tasks that might interest you, or the clients interested in your profile. They are bound by contractual and other obligations on confidentiality regarding your personal data.
  • Government bodies, the police, regulatory and law enforcement authorities. We will share your personal data with the specified parties if we establish, exclusively based on our personal estimate, that we are legally required/authorized to do so, or in case it would be reasonable to do so.

Transfer of Personal Data Outside the European Union

We can transfer and process your personal data in one or more other states, within or outside the European Union, and in the case your data are transfered outside the European Union, it will only include the states that the European Commission have approved as providing an adequate level of protection.

Your Rights

  • Right to access and obtain copies of your personal data undergoing processing.
    You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we are processing any of your personal data. In the case we are processing your personal data, you can gain access to your personal data and to certain information about the way they are being processed. In certain cases you can request that we send you a copy of your personal data in electronic form. You can request the aforesaid by sending an email to the following email address: dpo.hr@dekra.com
  • Right to rectification of your personal data.
    If you prove the inaccuracy of your personal data we have, you can request rectification of inaccurate personal data by sending an email to the following email address: dpo.hr@dekra.com
  • Right to erasure.
    Under certain circumstances, you can request restriction of processing and/or erasure of personal data concerning you. You can submit a request for erasure of personal data concerning you at any moment, and DEKRA will assess whether your request for erasure should be approved. The right to erasure is conditional on legal rights and/or obligations we may need to respect due to data retention.   • Right to object.
    If you believe your rights are infringed, you have the right to object. To exercise your rights, please send an email to the following email address: dpo.hr@dekra.com
If you send us an email for the purpose of exercising your rights, DEKRA may need to verify your identity before complying with your request.

The Level of Protection of Personal Data in the DEKRA System

DEKRA protects your personal data by using the most advanced IT technologies and physical protection systems. All DEKRA employees act in accordance with the internal protocols and procedures and this Policy, for the purposes of ensuring your privacy and preventing its potential abuse.
